Air Conditioner Services Jamaica FAQ

What if I have an emergency during off-hours?

Cold Air Refrigeration is committed to providing exceptional customer service – even in the middle of the night. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (including holidays) to meet all your heating and air conditioning needs. Our ability to respond quickly to your emergencies separates us from many of our competitors.

Our commercial equipment is only two years old why do I need a service contract?

Commercial equipment is exposed to harsh environmental elements that chip away at efficiency levels unless cor-rective maintenance is performed. Great maintenance is not an expense, it’s an investment that pays divi-dends!

Will an air conditioning unit with higher BTU cool my space faster?

No. A larger cooling system with more capacity delivers less comfort and costs more to operate. An air condition-er is at its least efficient when it is first turned on. A system with too much capacity will run in numerous short cycles, turning on and off repeatedly, therefore causing it to be less efficient. Also keep in mind that an air condi-tioner only removes humidity when it’s running, so a system with shorter run cycles doesn’t remove humidity from the air very well.

Why Bother with a Quarterly Maintenance Contract

Properly maintaining your system will save you money on your energy bills and will help your system perform at peak efficiency. A properly maintained system also lasts longer which is important due to the expense of replacement. During a preventive maintenance, certain parts that can cause trouble when dirty, are cleaned to keep the system running smoothly and efficiently.

A maintenance service also includes inspection of your system so problems can be discovered before serious damage occurs and you find yourself without air conditioning in the middle of summer or winter when you need it the most. Click here for further details

Air Duct Services – FAQs

Why is it important to maintain clean air ducts?

The need for cleaning arises because during operation of the air conditioning system, dirt, debris, allergens and other particulate build up over time in the air ducts which may adversely effect the indoor air environment and performance of the system. Please read more about the maintenance of your Air Duct System here

How do you clean an air duct system?

For best results, Cold Air Refrigeration prefers to employ the use of brushing and contact cleaning, whenever pos-sible. The results are excellent and the cleaning methods we use will not damage components or alter the integri-ty of an HVAC system.

Will air duct cleaning disrupt the operations in my facility?

No. We will meet with your facilities contact prior to the start of a cleaning project and customize a cleaning schedule which works around your day to day operations.

How can I tell if my building needs the air ducts cleaned?

Excessive dust throughout your building is a big indicator of dirty air ducts. If your employees are constantly getting sick, this may be another indicator your commercial air ducts need cleaning. If you have been in your building for longer than 2 years and have never had them cleaned or have undergone recent construction, Air Quality Controllers highly recommends getting your air ducts professionally cleaned.

Do I need to close my business operations for air duct cleaning?

Cold Air Refrigeration will work with you to customize an air duct cleaning schedule which is most suitable for you and your business. Cleaning can be done after office hours, during the weekend or on a holiday.
